Ethernet retrofit quote checklist

An Ethernet retrofit quote for an existing Dallas-Fort Worth property is easier to review when it identifies the property, access, cable routes and approximate number of drops.

Real protected wall opening used to route Ethernet cabling

Benjamin's Cabling installs Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Cat7 and Cat8 retrofit cabling in homes and commercial spaces. The company quotes each job individually and publishes no fixed pricing.

Describe the property first

Include the city or neighborhood, whether the property is a house, office or another type of space, and whether it has one, two or three-plus stories. If the project is in Fort Worth, Dallas or another DFW city, the same quote form applies because Benjamin's Cabling serves the entire metroplex.

Explain the access you know about

State whether attic access is available, unavailable, partial or uncertain. Existing-home cable routes can involve difficult walls and floor plans. One real media-closet project required selected wall openings to bring cabling from second-floor bedrooms to a larger enclosure.

List the connections and approximate drops

Identify whether the job needs Ethernet drops, Wi-Fi access points, security cameras, a server rack or media closet, home theater or audio work, troubleshooting, or another service. An approximate range of one to two, three to five, six to ten, or “not sure” gives the initial conversation a useful scope without pretending every route is the same.

Share photos when possible

Photos of the rooms, current panel or rack, attic access and the walls involved can speed up quoting. Benjamin's Cabling can explain how to send them during follow-up.

Remember the finish work

Benjamin's Cabling's published service list includes small drywall repairs and small painting projects. Real customer reviews and project descriptions also mention patching, texturing and painting after access work.
